The Recreation Ground and the Sports and Social Club are the perfect location for those big outdoor events for the whole village.

The annual Summer Fair takes place in July and is a great afternoon out for the whole family. The central arena hosts a number of displays and competitions, while a variety of stalls sell bric-a-brac, books, plants, etc, as well as providing information about local societies and activities. The bar is open all day and the live music continues well into the evening for those who want to dance the night away.

The Bonfire Night Fireworks Display is now an established feature in Pirton's annual calendar of events. Thousands of pounds worth of fireworks are released in a professional display on the playing fields. A variety of hot food is on sale as well as the traditional mulled wine. The entertainment doesn't stop with the fireworks, as the music continues on into the evening.

Plans to replace the existing Sports and Social Club with a new Pavilion are now well under way. This is a long-term project, involving much work and fund-raising. For more information, check the Pavilion page or contact a member of the Committee.
